چکیده
Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) is a myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasm characterized by the infiltration of blood and bone marrow immature monocytes, in which extra-hematopoietic localization uncommon. We report case 69-year-old-man with highly likely ectopic brain CMML involvement MRI. Without possibility cerebral biopsy negative infectious disease assessment, high-dose cytarabine-based chemotherapy was successfully administered. The favorable evolution this highlights potential benefit such treatment, even without to confirm disease. This can aid clinical decision-making future.

A Rare Case of Acute Myeloid Leukemia with Translocation (3:3) Presenting with Features of Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia
Background: Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) with translocation (3,3) is a form of AML that may present de novo or may arise from a previous myelodysplastic syndrome. It is often associated with normal or elevated peripheral blood platelet count and increased bone marrow megakaryocytes with associated multi lineage dysplasia. A subset of patients present with hepatosplenomegaly while a few cases h...
متن کاملFacial psoriasis with cytarabine/daunorubicin: A case report
Psoriasis is a common chronic inflammatory skin disease. The most common form of psoriasis is characterized by sharply demarcated, scaly, erythematous plaques. The face is an unusual site for psoriasis. Herein, we report a 43-year-old woman with facial psoriasis that was developed after remission–induction chemotherapy for acute leukemia with high dose cytarabine/daunorubicin.
متن کاملTreatment of Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia with 5-Azacytidine: Case Reports
Epigenetic therapy with hypomethylating agent (5-azacytidine; AZA) is common in the management of specific subtypes of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), but there are only few studies in chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) patients. In this paper our experience with 3 CMML patients treated with AZA is described. In one patient transfusion independency was observed after 4 treatment cycles; in ...
متن کاملUnusual ophthalmic manifestation in chronic myeloid leukemia: A case report
Background: Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a myeloproliferative hematopoietic malignancy with a heterogeneous proliferation of hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow. The ocular manifestations are rare symptoms of CML. In this case report, a CML patient with retinal hemorrhage is reported as an uncommon symptom. Case presentation: A 35-year-old man was referred due to decreased right eye vi...

Ocular involvement in patients with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) is rarely reported, owing in part to the fact that the severe illness faced by many of these patients limits the feasibility of ocular examinations. Nevertheless, post-mortem examination of eyes from patients without ophthalmological symptoms and diagnosis of CMML has revealed ocular infiltration of atypical cells. We pr...
